or thing
Example: The cat jumped onto the wall

2.Verb: A word
to describe an action (A
"doing" word)
Example: The boy ran away
from the angry man
Susan screamed when she drove into a ditch
3.Adjective: A word that describes a person, place or thing
Example: Henry cried when he accidentally touched the hot pot

4.Adverb: A word that describes an action (often ends with -ly)
Example: Mr.John snored loudly when his wife made him watch the boring movie.

5. Conjunction: A word used to join clauses and sentences together
Example: We might go to the theme park if it does not rain.

6.Clause: A clause
is a group of words with a subject and
a verb
Example: Today, Timmy went fishing at the park

7.Alliteration: The occurrence of the same letter or sound in a group of words
Example: This ice cream is so tasty, tantalizing and terrific.
