I feel that Boyne suggests a seemingly perfect person within Kotler due the the fact his appearance was described so perfectly, Evidence is showed “his black boots sparkled” “Yellow blond hair that was parted to he side and held perfectly in place” this showed that Kolter likes to be well groomed, to look like the perfect solider dressed neat, tidy and disciplined. Underneath all all groomed gear, he wants to become someone who is respected, to be recognized as a man with power and authority and someone who is dignified. In summary, he wants people to treat people with respect and honour
